Walking through a pit filled with resurgence, perceiving the city on the horizon. That place is a not just a topographical hole, but a temporal one as well. In which direction it goes depends entirely on perspective, of course. For salix alba and populus tremula the hole leads upwards and outwards, it becomes a fragment of the future in the present. For m the hole also leads to a piece of the future, but through a change of directions, through a reduction in speed, in the “progress” of their kind. m looks around, and looks forward to this aspect of the present and future, looking forward to becoming a part of it, in whatever shapes their body may take in the coming age.
